Columbus Golden Seals

The Golden Seals were Columbus' second of three attempts at an IHL team. When the Checkers folded in 1971, the Golden Seals were introduced as the new team at the Ohio Fairgrounds Coliseum. They were a farm club to the big league's Seals, and had two poor seasons on the ice. They won only 25 of a combined 146 games in their two years of existence and closed up shop after the 1972-73 campaign. Their big league counterparts wouldn't last much longer, as the California Seals moved to Cleveland in 1976.
