Columbus Stars
The Columbus Stars were a short-lived UHL team that played at the Fairground Coliseum for the 2003-04 season. The Stars were the first minor league hockey team in town since the Chill had left in 1999, but of course by this point the Blue Jackets were in their 4th season and drawing strong crowds so more hockey teams wasn't exactly something Columbus needed. The Stars were decent enough on the ice, winning 61% of their games in the A-level UHL. But the team didn't draw more than 1,000 fans per game and would fold mid-season after only 34 games played out of a possible 76.
