Amarillo Gorillas

The Amarillo Gorillas started play in the 2002-03 season at the Amarillo Civic Center. The Gorillas were the same franchise as the Amarillo Rattlers, renamed after the team was sold to local owners in 2002. They were pretty competitive for most of their time in the league.

For their first five seasons, they would win 30+ games each year and make the playoffs each time, although they would never make it past the second round. Their final three seasons, they would win a combined 62 games and miss the playoffs each year. The team would fold following the 2009-10 campaign.
