Topeka Tarantulas
The Topeka Tarantulas were a one-year wonder in the CHL for the 2004-05 season. The Tarantulas made it only one season at Landon Arena before folding and on the ice, they won only 16 of 60 games that season.
The Topeka Scarecrows had spent five seasons in Topeka before going out of business following the 2003-04 season and the Tarantulas jumped on the open market in Topeka. The Tarantulas were originally the Indianapolis Ice, leaving Indiana after about 15 seasons there. Topeka currently is home to the NAHL's Topeka Pilots.
