Dallas Blackhawks

The Dallas Blackhawks were truly one of the best minor league teams in history and of the 1970s. They played in the CHL from 1967 through 1982, reaching the CHL finals an unbelievable ten times. They would win four CHL titles; 1969, 1972, 1974, and 1979. The Blackhawks also had a fierce rivalry with the nearby Fort Worth Texans (also known as the Wings), that ended in fisticuffs many nights. The Blackhawks also had a number of famous coaches over the years including John Muckler, Bobby Kromm, and Roger Neilson. Both the Blackhawks and the Texans would fold at the end of the 1982 season, simultaneously ending a great rivalry. The CHL itself would go under two years later in 1984.
