Duluth Hornets
The Duluth Hornets (Minnesota) initially started out as a minor pro team in the early 1920s, but in 1926 they went pro, joining the CHL and in 1927 the AHA. They had good success on ice, coming in first and winning the championship in 1926. While they never won the title again, they only missed the playoffs once during that six year stretch and losing in the finals on two other occasions. Midway through the 1932-33 season, while they were sitting in last place, they were moved to Wichita, Kansas and became the Wichita Blue Jays.
