Port Huron Flags

The Port Huron Flags are a historic hockey team from Eastern Michigan, playing in the IHL from 1962 - 1981. The Flags were always competitive in the IHL, rarely missing the playoffs and winning three Turner Cups (1966, 1971, 1972). They made the finals a total of seven times. From 1971-74 they were also briefly a Red Wings affiliate and known as the Port Huron Wings. The original IHL team would fold after the 1980-81 season. In the mid-00s, the name was resurrected with a UHL franchise for two seasons from 2005-07.
