Ottawa Civics

With the Denver Spurs owing money to the City of Denver and the NHL coming to the Rocky Mountains, the team jumped across the border very abruptly to become the Ottawa Civics in January 1976. The move was so quick in fact, that they continued to wear Spurs uniforms in Ottawa. The team played two sold out home games and another five on the road as the Civics before they finally folded on January 17th. The logos below are a rendering of what a potential logo would have looked like.
