Huntsville Blast History

The Huntsville Blast had an awesome space themed logo, which unfortunately only lasted for one season in Huntsville, AL. Their logo pays homage to Marshall Space Flight Center and Hunstville's history in helping send rockets to space and men to the moon.ย

The Blast played at the Von Braun Center and were the first pro hockey team in Huntsville. They moved in for the 1993-94 season after relocating from Virginia where they were the Roanoke Valley Rampage. The Blast went 20-39-0-7 in their only season. Afterwards, they left town to for Florida where they became the Tallahassee Tiger Sharks, with an amazing tiger shark uniform.ย

Hockey would quickly return though, as the Huntsville Channel Cats started up in the city in 1995.ย
