Las Vegas Flash
The Las Vegas Flash were Roller Hockey International's first venture into Sin City, for the 1994 season. The team was originally the Utah Rollerbees and moved after an unsuccessful season in Salt Lake City. The Flash played at the Thomas & Mack center on the campus of UNLV. The team didn't have a lot of success on the ice as they went 6-15-1. However, they were coached by US Hockey Hall of Famer Ken Morrow. The team did have eight players with NHL experience, an unusually high number for the league. That included Walt Poddubny who played over 450 NHL games and even a one game appearance from Garth Snow. They also had Steve Chelios, cousin of Chris Chelios.
Unfortunately, after a second unsuccessful season the Flash would fold.
