Calgary Rad'z

The Calgary Rad'z has the most positively 90s name out of all the Roller Hockey International teams, as they were named after the slang team 'Rad'. The Rad'z were one of 12 original RHI franchises, starting play in 1993.  The Rad'z were owned by Larry Ryckman, who had recently revived the Calgary Stampede CFL team. The Rad'z originally played at the Saddledome but moved to the smaller Max Bell Centre. The team would only last two seasons before folding.
