Buffalo Stampede

The Buffalo Stampede were the first of two Buffalo teams in Roller Hockey International. They played the 1994 and 1995 seasons at the Aud in Buffalo and won the Murphy Cup and playoff champs in 1994. Unfortunately the Stampede were plagued with legal trouble in their second season, as they team and league sued each other over unpaid bills from the franchise, and the team for some reason sued their own coach. Needless to say the Stampede did not return after 1995. A new expansion franchise, the Buffalo Wings, would take their spot.
