Burnaby Bluehawks

The Burnaby Bluehawks started as the Vancouver/Kerrisdale Bluehawks in 1980 as a part of the BCJHL, a junior A league. The team played there for two years, moving to Burnaby for the 1982-83 season. They spent three seasons in Burnaby, with their strongest season coming in 1984-85 when they won 41 of 52 games. That season they reached the league final, losing to the Penticton Knights, who were led by future NHLer Joe Murphy.
