Utah Rollerbees
The Utah Rollerbees were an original Roller Hockey International franchise for the 1993 season, playing at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, UT. The team's nickname was a reference to Utah's moniker as the Beehive state. The Rollerbees did something unique - the team started out by playing their games outside. They built a 4,000+ seat rink in the parking lot of South Towne Center mall in Sandy, Utah. Unfortunately, the team wasn't very good as they only won 2 of their initial 14 games. The team announced they lost $200,000 that season and moved to Las Vegas for the following season.
