Atlanta Fire Ants

The Atlanta Fire Ants were a one-season wonder in Roller Hockey International for the 1994 season. They played at the Omni and were brought in to Atlanta as a summer entertainment option on the backs of the success of the Atlanta Knights of the IHL. Both the Fire Ants and Knights were owned by the same group.

The Fire Ants went 10-10-2 in their only season and played to crowds of around 3,000 which outdrew a number of other RHI cities. However, the team was sold and moved to Oklahoma after their only season.
