Quesnel Millionaires

The Quesnel Millionaires name dates back many years, prior to at least 1950 as the name for Quesnel's hockey team. More recently, it started when a team started as a Junior B team playing in the Peace-Cariboo Junior Hockey League. The Millionaires were successful in the PCJHL, winning the league three times in the late 1970s and won the Western Canada Junior B title in 1978.

The Millionaires would play in the PCJHL until 1991, when they moved to the Rocky Mountain JHL, which was a step up to Junior A. In 1996, they moved to the BCHL. The team has a few NHL alums from this era, which include star goalie Carey Price who played for the team in the 2002-03 season. Gilbert Brule and Sheldon Souray also played for the Millionaires.
