Sarnia Bees

The Sarnia Bees started play for the 1969-70 season in the Western Junior B League. The Bees name of course was a play on the level of competition the team played in, and they quickly came to be very successful at the Junior B level. In 1970-71 the team went 32-8-2. They jumped to the Junior A level for a year, but after a tough 15-31-10 season they dropped back to Junior B (which, rightfully so given their name!). The team would play in the WJHL through 1995. The team had a few alumni make it to the NHL, the most notable was Rumun Ndur, the "Nigeria Nightmare".
