Our Retro Hockey Jerseys are Made From Premium-Quality Materials & Professeional Design Processes
All of our retro hockey jerseys fit into one of two categories. The majority of our vintage minor league hockey jerseys are heavyweight and feature embroidered seams and crests. This is to match the old-school feel of a stitched jersey with a big hockey team logo patch from the latter half of the 20th century. If you opt to get your jersey customized, it'll have a stitched name bar with heat-pressed letters, numbers, and C/A.
The rest of the jerseys, which are mainly teams from the 1990s or teams that have really complicated logo designs (e.g., Columbus Chill and Louisville RiverFrogs) are fully sublimated. This means that the jersey fabric is carefully dyed and should never fade, but they don't have that stitched seam feel. Due to the difference in stitching, these do come at a lower price point. And just a heads up: our jerseys do not come with fight straps unless noted on the product page.
We Invest Time & Research Into Getting Our Vintage Hockey Jersey Designs Exactly Right
At Vintage Ice Hockey, we love to celebrate defunct teams that don't take the ice anymore; both well-known and obscure teams. We're proud to produce minor league hockey jerseys and retro apparel that in some cases simply cannot be found anywhere else. We're also putting in the extra time to get these classic hockey team jersey designs exactly right. By thoroughly searching through old hockey memorabilia, pictures, and even talking to the folks who were there, we try to figure out how to make these retro hockey jerseys as true to the original as we possibly can.
How Our Jersey Inventory Works
We're a small, family-owned shop, and due to a lack of well, everything, we are not able to customize our retro hockey jerseys on the fly. To maintain our commitment to the highest possible quality standards, we have to customize our jerseys in batches. So, to be able to offer customization, we open up individual jerseys for pre-orders when we debut them and again later on depending on demand for that particular jersey. So if you are interested in customization or an unusual size such as youth or goalie cuts, pre-order time is the time to buy. You never know when (or if) they might be available again.
All that said, we do plan to regularly stock blank jerseys in sizes adult small through 3XL for many teams.
Please note that pre-order jerseys are expected to ship 2-3 months from the date the pre-order period ends. In-stock blank jerseys will ship on our normal timeframes and usually leave the warehouse within a couple of days.

Jersey Size Chart
Our hockey jerseys go up to Adult 3XL and are generally similar in size to NHL replica fan jerseys from recent years. We strongly suggest consulting our hockey jersey size chart and comparing the measurements to jerseys you already own.

Our Design Accuracy and Jersey Quality Guarantee
We take great pride in our work and the vintage teams that we are reinvigorating and want to deliver you the custom jersey you asked for exactly as you specified. As hockey fans and apparel lovers ourselves, we know there are enough fly-by-night shops out there that slap numbers on a crummy jersey and call it a day.
That never has been—and never will be—us.
If your jersey is not accurate according to your order receipt or is defective in any way, we will revise your jersey or provide a replacement on our dime. For up to six months after you receive your jersey, if a design element of the jersey fails we'll replace it or repair it at our cost.
We don't expect errors or defects to happen. In 2022, our error rate was less than 1%, but when mistakes happen, we own them and correct them.
