Two defunct Alaska teams, one from Fairbanks and one from Anchorage, on shirts, hoodies, and drinkware.

Alaska is a long way from the rest of the hockey map, and for decades its best teams had to fly thousands of miles to find anyone to play. We make apparel for two of the clubs that did it, in many cases the only apparel that exists for them anywhere.

We're a family-run small business bringing back the designs and the histories of long-lost hockey teams from Alaska and across the US and Canada.

Hockey Teams in Alaska

Hockey in Alaska has always been a local passion with a travel problem: the nearest opponents outside the state are a long flight away.

Fairbanks: the Gold Kings

The Alaska Gold Kings were Fairbanks's team, a senior amateur club for most of their history.

In 1995 they turned professional as a charter member of the West Coast Hockey League, which put every road trip but one, the short hop to Anchorage, on the far side of a long flight. The Gold Kings left Fairbanks after two WCHL seasons, and the franchise resurfaced in Colorado Springs.

Anchorage: the Wolverines

The Anchorage Wolverines were a senior club in the state's largest city. The name meant enough locally that a junior team in the North American Hockey League revived it in 2021.

Alaska still has Division I college hockey in both Fairbanks and Anchorage. The two teams on this page are gone, and that's the part worth wearing.

Two Alaska teams that don't skate anymore.
