South Carolina joined the East Coast Hockey League in the 1990s, part of the wave that carried minor league hockey across the Southeast.
Greenville: the Grrrowl
The Greenville Grrrowl joined the East Coast Hockey League in 1998 and won its championship, the Kelly Cup, in 2002. The team folded in 2006.
South Carolina still has ECHL hockey in Greenville and North Charleston. The team on this page is gone, and that's the part worth wearing.
