Arizona Hockey Apparel
Three defunct Arizona teams, two from Phoenix and one from Tucson, on shirts, hoodies, and drinkware.
Arizona had professional hockey for decades before the NHL showed up in 1996, most of it played in Phoenix and some of it in Tucson. We make apparel for three of those teams, in many cases the only apparel that exists for them anywhere.
We're a family-run small business bringing back the designs and the histories of long-lost hockey teams from Arizona and across the US and Canada.

Hockey Teams in Arizona
The desert has been trying to keep hockey teams since the 1960s. Some lasted years, one lasted a single winter, and the NHL team that eventually arrived has left as well.
Phoenix before and after the NHL
Phoenix joined the Western Hockey League in 1967 with the Roadrunners, a franchise that had started life as the Spokane Comets. The Roadrunners moved up to the World Hockey Association in 1974 and lasted three seasons there.
The NHL arrived in 1996, and the minor leagues kept coming anyway. The Phoenix Mustangs played in the West Coast Hockey League from 1997 to 2001 and won its championship, the Taylor Cup, in 2000.
The Phoenix Cobras were the city's entry in Roller Hockey International, playing in the summers of 1994 and 1995.
Tucson: the Mavericks
The Tucson Mavericks played one season in the Central Hockey League, 1975โ76, and that was that. Tucson has had a number of one-and-done teams since.
Arizona's NHL team left for Utah in 2024. The three teams on this page are gone, and that's the part worth wearing.
